VACANT (2015)

Buen inicio para en la que origen fue una one man band y que ahora viene de completar una formación en toda regla. Lo que nos presenta este "Vacant" son seis temas que trascurren por la línea del black ambiental, repleto de interesantes giros en su música, debido a una gran riqueza instrumental y con una atmósfera fría y con una sensación de soledad en medio de la naturaleza. Nick se erige como un excelente compositor, cada tema aquí recogido es una entidad en si mismo, que aunque se complementa con los demás, en el fondo brilla con luz propia. "Vacant" es un álbum variado, no estamos ante el típico álbum ambiental que recrea una y otra vez el mismo riffs y acaba por sonar repetitivo, todo lo contrario, en los seis temas que lo integran se ofrece variedad en forma de pasajes ambientales, casi que intimista, recreados por buenas guitarras acústicas y algún elemento folk. Su música transita desde la zona más sosegada a otras más viscerales, de mano de unos arranques de riffs de guitarra muy buenos, secundados por el atronar de la batería, al mismo tiempo que las voces aportan cierta desesperación al estar cargadas de rabia. El doom se filtra en algunas temas, debido a ese ritmo a veces lento, pero sobre todo la ambientación está perfectamente lograda, fría, folk, oscura y llena de soledad. (8,1).
