BLACK FLAME OV ILLUMINATION (2015)
Priemero demo para esta banda procedente de la siempre prolífica e interesante escena extrema portuguesa. En sus filas podemos encontrar a un par de músicos que ya conocemos de otros proyectos como Everto Signum o Igniferum, y que vienen dándole forma a esta nueva banda desde hace un par de años, tomando como referencia el black death y reflexionando sobre la naturaleza humana, tal vez los dos elementos más reconocible de Mandragora Malevola. La demo consta de tres temas, siendo el primero de ellos una breve intro que sirve para situar al oyente en ese ambiente oscuro y frío que eclosiona en los siguientes dos temas. En primer lugar la música se decanta por su vertiente más death, voces agresivas rozando lo gutural y música rápida y contundente haciendo de blast beat su mayor apoyo, hasta aquí podríamos casi que situarlos en el plano death metal. Pero es a raíz de la larga duración de ambos temas que su música se va enriqueciendo con partes más lentas en donde podemos comenzar a apreciar unos elaborados riffs de guitarra que aporta cierta melodía a su música, e incluso alguna incursión de teclados hacia la parte final que logra una ambientación casi que folk, alejándolos de ese plano más death para acabar por refugiarse en el black y de esa dualidad emerger con una demo que nos hace abrigar grandes expectativas hacia el combo.
